4 Steps To Better Skin

Our skin is fragile, and exposing it to harmful chemicals is always a huge risk to take. Stressful lifestyles, hectic work schedules, inadequate sleep, lack of nutritional diet, pollution, harmful sun rays (UVA/UVB), excessive smoking, and drinking alcohol are the major factors which make your skin dull and dry. All of these are part and parcel of your life and you cannot run away from them. However, you can surely prevent them. Of course, you cannot hold on to your age, but you can surely slow down the loss of glow and radiance from your skin.

A healthy lifestyle and skin care routine reflects on your skin. You should keep your skin clean to avoid problems such as pimples and blackheads. Beautiful soft, smooth and glowing skin doesn’t come with expensive products or salon treatments. It only requires a little effort and few products.

1.Hydrate your skin when you go to bed and when you wake up

When you get up and when you go to sleep are the two most important times of the day for your skin, because it receives microorganisms in the environment directly.

These microorganisms end up clogging your pores and filling your skin with debris.

By cleaning and moisturizing your skin in the morning and at night, you will get rid of agents inside the pores that destroy the skin’s quality over the years.

Frequent cleaning will not only keep the pores closed and cared for, but also help you reach your goal of preserving smooth and healthy skin despite your age.

2.Get 8 hours of sleep

Nothing repairs your skin better than sleeping 8 hours during the night.

Sleep is the most effective way to keep skin smooth and healthy, since it eliminates all the free radicals in the cells, and allows maximum oxygenation.

Apart from being one of the ways to recharge your energy, sleeping is a physiological process proven to repair the skin’s tissues. It helps synthesize collagen, keeping skin healthy and rejuvenated.

3.Your appearance reflects your diet

Surely you’ve heard the phrase “you are what you eat.” It may be cliche, but it’s essential to take diet into account when it comes to skin beauty.

Good food is the motor that drives bodily health and creates beauty. If you have bad eating habits, you must keep in mind that they will result in poor skin for your age.

Due to the emergence of free radicals that are created by the toxins in poor food choices, wrinkles can appear early on.

4.Facial masks aren’t a luxury– they are indispensable!

  •  Honey, Lemon and Olive Oil

Honey is an anti-inflammatory and a great skin cleanser. It fights skin damage and has antioxidants that reduce signs of ageing. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and has nutrients that heal skin problems. It lightens the skin, reduce dark spots and gives a glow. The other ingredient of this mask is olive oil which was used by women in ancient times for beautiful skin and is still used for skin care. It gives your skin radiant glow and maintains elasticity. Mix equal parts of honey, lemon and olive oil. Use a cotton ball to apply it to your skin. After 20 minutes, rinse with warm water. This can be applied overnight and rinse in the morning.

  • Cucumber & Milk Cleanser

Cucumber has a cooling effect on skin. Its cleansing properties makes your skin soft, smooth and tightens pores. It also restores natural pH of the skin. There are many ways to use cucumber for skin care. Simply, place cucumber slices on your face to have a refreshing and soothing feel. Use Cucumber juice for tightening your skin. You can apply it with a cotton ball or mix it with milk to make a skin cleansing mask. Milk has natural lipids that provide moisturize to your skin. Mix cucumber juice in milk and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse to get glowing skin.

  • Cleanse & Exfoliate

Wash your face twice a day with a soap free cleanser. It is important to remove oil and dirt from your skin. Also, remove make up before going to bed. If you sleep with make up on, your skin is more likely to breakout and become dull. Most of us are too lazy or sleepy to use a make up remover before bed and then wash the face. Face wipe is the easiest way to cleanse your skin. That means you don’t have to use a make up remover if you use wipes. If washing your face is over-drying the skin, you can use gram flour mixed with water. It is very important to regularly exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells accumulated on skin.
