Kellogg’s has recalled brownies, cookies, some cereal, and Graham Crackers and stresses that the recall is strictly voluntary as a precaution. The company says a flour mill in South Carolina had become compromised and several items may contain traces of peanuts.
“While consumers with severe peanut allergies should avoid the recalled products, the FDA has stated that the amount of peanut exposure from the flour is low and not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of peanut allergic consumers.”
I would not take any chances if you or a loved one suffers from Peanut Allergies. Somewhere around 150 to 200 people die every year from some type of food allergy and it’s no place to just ignore the warning.
A full list of all the products that were recalled can be seen below:
Kellogg has asked for anyone who has purchased affected product to discard it and contact them for a full refund. Consumers can call 1-800-962-1413, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET. You can also get more info here.
