Foods To Eat And Don’t Eat On An Empty Stomach

Your whole day could be made or broken over one important thing: Breakfast. There’s a reason it’s the most important meal, but what should you actually eat? According to experts, breakfast is the most important meal of the day since it provides the nutrients necessary for the entire day. So to give a good kick to your day you should carefully choose proper ingredients. In the list below you will find which foods you  shouldn’t eat on an empty stomach.

Citrus Fruits- These foods can lead to gastric ulcers, gastritis and heartburn. Although they are rich in vitamin C, try to avoid eating oranges, lemons and grapefruits for breakfast.

Banana- Bananas boost the magnesium levels in the blood which leads to blood issues. If you want to eat it for breakfast, mix it with honey, blueberry and nuts.

Green Veggies- Flatulence and Heartburn. Not things you’d really associate with vegetables, huh? Well, greens actually contain high levels of amino acids which may influence these on an empty stomach – but sure, have it at lunch!

Pear- What? A pear? Yes. These oddly shaped fruits contain crude fiber which can damage the mucous membrane and also an unpleasant feeling for the rest of your day.

Tomatoes – Put the big tom in the same breadbasket as green veggies – these guys irritate.

Sodas and Carbonated Beverages- Being high in sugar, this is the worst breakfast choice you could make. They will bloat you and slow down your metabolism.
