Some of us really like chewing gum, but often happens to carelessly stick it into the hair. Parents often think the only way to remove gum from the hair is to cut it out. Fortunately, common items from your pantry can do a great job at removing the gum – and sparing an impromptu haircut.”
Simply follow these steps from dermatologists:
Find a jar of creamy style peanut butter or vegetable oil, such as olive oil.
Fully moisten the gum with oil or butter. Gently rub with your fingers, and then with a toothbrush. Leave the oil for a few minutes.
The oil will soak into the gum, it will soften and it will become less sticky. With the toothbrush and towel, alternately, gently pull the gum, and slowly pull it out of the hair.
Then wash your hair with your favorite shampoo.
