Here is a great way to get in shape military style. We bring to you the Military Diet. The rules surrounding this diet are much like the military, strict and offer very little flexibility. But the results of this diet are fabulous.

So here is how the Military Diet goes:

DAY ONE:

 Breakfast:

– Toast – One Slice

– Peanut Butter – Two tablespoons

– Grapefruit – Half of a fruit

– Coffee or tea (with caffeine) – One Cup

Lunch:

– Coffee or tea (with caffeine) – One Cup

– Tuna – Half a Cup

– Toast – One Slice

Dinner:

– Meat – 3 ounces

– Apple – One

– Banana – Half of a fruit

– Green Beans – One cup

– Vanilla Ice Cream – One Cup

DAY TWO:

Breakfast:

– Toast – One Slice

– Egg – One

– Banana – Half of a fruit

Lunch:

– Hard-boiled Egg – One

– Cottage Cheese – One Cup

– Saltine Crackers – Five

Dinner:

– Hotdogs (without the bun) – Two

– Carrot – Half a cup

– Broccoli – One cup

– Banana – Half a fruit

– Vanilla Ice Cream – Half Cup

DAY THREE:

Breakfast:

– Cheddar Cheese – One Slice

– Apple – One

– Saltine Cracker – Five

 Lunch:

– Toast – One Slice

– Egg (Cooked or Hardboiled) – One

Dinner:

– Tuna – Half a cup

Banana – Half a fruit

– Vanilla Ice Cream – One Cup

The important thing about this diet is that it must be very strictly followed. Very little deviations are permitted, such as switching lentils instead of meat or swapping fruits. But on the whole the menu should be followed very strictly. No additions or other substitutions are permitted either. This is a quick diet that will help boost your metabolism which will in turn burn more fat and leaves you full of energy. It is also recommended that you workout as much as possible when you are following this diet and this will also aid in boosting the metabolism further.

This ingredients for this diet are cheap, readily available and the preparation time for the meals are also very little making this diet a true winner.

    I just finished the 3 day military diet last week. I was in a hurry to lose around 10 lbs since an important wedding in the family is coming up. Just my 2 cents – the diet is very doable. I was happy that there was a set meal so I don’t have to exert effort doing food combinations. There was little cooking, most are fresh produce and most importantly, the foods were easy to find.
    The diet was tough on the first day, though. I managed to read in a blog that irritability (which I felt on the first day) was common. So I drank 3 liters of water to hydrate and feel full. I also managed to squeeze in some light walking.
    At the end of the 3rd day, I lost 7 pounds!
    Do you think it I might have lost more if I didn’t replace some of the food in the meal plans?

    Can I substitute something in place of cottage cheese and the ice cream? I can not have dairy products.
