Since he won’t be moving into The White House anytime soon, it appears he set his sights on a new place to spend his time and dropped $575,000 on a waterfront home in the Lake Champlain island community of North Hero, Vermont.
The historic home was built in 1920, covers 1,883-square-feet and includes four bedrooms and two and three-quarter bathrooms. But the best part is that it sits on 1.1 acres of land, including 500 feet of lakefront. Of course, such a spectacular vantage point wouldn’t be complete without a big screened-in porch for the family to sit and reflect on the events of the last few months.
According to Trulia, Sanders plans to use the space as a vacation home, and with its rustic, country vibe, it’s definitely perfect for that. Oh, and he can even have Neil Young over for a visit thanks to the attached guest quarters.
