If you’re anything like us, sleep is a precious commodity that’s hard to come by lately. Between work and life and staying up to watch more Carpool Karaoke, we’re kind of in a constant state of exhaustion. So here’s an easy and natural remedy that will have you sleeping like a baby.
What you need: A bottle of tart cherry juice.
What you do: Drink an 8-ounce cup in the afternoon–and another in the evening. (Maybe time your nightcap so that it’s an hour or two before you plan on sleeping so you’re less likely to wake up in the middle of the night to pee.)
Why it works: Cherry juice provides a natural source of melatonin and tryptophan, which not only helps you fall asleep faster but also helps you stay asleep longer. We’ve personally tried it and can attest that it’s a total game-changer.
What else you can try: If cherry juice gives you PTSD of being force-fed cough medicine as a child, try eating a couple of kiwis instead for a similar effect. Sweet dreams!
